Indian indices Sensex and Nifty are heading toward their worst nine-month performance in 15 years. Markets faced a major downturn, reminiscent of the 2011 period when indices fell significantly. The IT sector was the primary wealth destroyer this year, though healthcare, metals, and capital goods sectors outperformed the broader market trend despite significant volatility and global economic concerns.
