Nike faces weak sales and layoffs amid global turnaround plan

Nike reported a 4% decline in first-quarter revenue to $11.2 billion, citing weakness in China and digital channels. The sportswear giant announced a new cost-cutting model named 'Pace', aiming for $2.5 billion in savings by 2031, which includes further job cuts. The company's stock has fallen nearly 50% since the end of 2025 as it struggles with competition.
