IMF and Sri Lanka agree on $345 million funding deal

The International Monetary Fund has reached a staff-level agreement with Sri Lanka regarding the seventh review of its Extended Fund Facility. This deal will unlock approximately $345 million in financing for the nation. The funds are part of a $2.9 billion program aimed at supporting the country's recovery from its 2022 economic crisis and bolstering foreign reserves.
